WoW....it's been a long time, since I have wrote on my blog. I really need to start picking up my pace now. I have finally come around to updating my Wolverine Digital Art, which I drew...long time o0.
Anyhow, below is the update version. Still need a little bit of tweaking with the lips (something that I am struggling to get it look like a real lip.). Plus I decided to go for a little darker theme because Wolverine is a kick-ass character, and I think it would suit better as a baddie ^_^.

Wolverine Digital Art Practice
Digital art has always been my favourite form of art, it is extremely flexible and very easily adaptable. It can be a bit of a struggle if you don't understand certain core concepts, such as rendering techniques, understanding shadows, light control, understand colours, exposures and so on.
There are a lot of things that you need to know to produce a good standard art. However, you won't reach that level if you don't start painting it or start drawing it. You can spend hours reading up and watching YouTube videos on how to paint and draw but if you don't put it to practice, then, when will you ever improve your art?...
If you are new to digital art, and have wondered how people mix the colours to create depth and realism, then all you need to do is, try it yourself. Run your mind free, and eventually everything will come together like a puzzle. Once you have cracked that confusion and curiosity, the thought of creating and drawing would seem the most beautiful thought you have ever thought of. It is incredible, the possibilities just open up and as long as you have that will to draw, nothing can stop you from creating amazing art.
Being an artist is not an easy task, to begin with, you are either born artist or progressive artist. You must have the patience of an artist, you must understand art itself, you must understand concepts and so on. Art is very subjective, art is form and content. It is a very vast subject, where one cannot fully define what an art truly means.
In fact, I should write an article on What is Art?... Because it is truly a vast subject and I think it would be worth my effort.
For now, I will conclude this post with my recent Digital Art that I drew as a practice.
Software used: Adobe Photoshop CS3
Time taken: 3hrs and 15mins
Things to improve on this art would be:
* Re-work on his skin colour tone
* Re-work his eyes
* Re-work his lip
* More render ^_^
So that's it folks for today and hopefully I will upload some more of my art soon, as they are finished. I have been thinking to draw at least 1 piece of Digital Art a day from a reference, so within a month or so, I can start working on my own art without actual reference.
Okay,
Take care

Rolex Daytona
Hey folks, as soon as I thought I was free to work on my personal projects, I got muddled up with my life and have been quite busy. Anyhow, I have been working on some little personal development projects in my spare time, as part of it, I have been working on my Maya. I must include that in order to improve my Maya skills I have to follow tutorials, right?... So here are the links towards the tutorial which I used and the results of my follow up of the tutorial.
A small info about the author of the Rolex Daytona Tutorial.
Name: Stephan Pilz
Occupation: 3D Modeller and Animator
Website: www.stephanpilz.com
Part 1
I believe there are about 50 videos on this tutorial on YouTube under his YouTube account (-PixelBahn-) Obviously I won't be able to share all the 50 or so videos on my blog, however you can navigate yourself towards the rest of the video tutorials, once you find him on YouTube. He has plenty of great Maya tutorials, and by far his tutorial skills was so much easier to follow - without having naps during the process.
Here are couple of images to share with you all, my version from the tutorial. Still work in progress... ^_^
